For large transactions - such as buying a property abroad - we understand that this can be one of the largest financial transactions someone might ever undertake, and that it can be a minefield of uncertainty and concern. We can ease some of those concerns by making the funds transfer element of the transaction as smooth and cost effective as possible. Each client is allocated an experienced and dedicated account manager who will be happy to guide you through this process.
The account opening process is a simple exercise and creates no obligation, or cost to you. The dealing process is a simple matter of a telephone call and emailed confirmation. All transactions are on a bank to bank basis, though we can accept cheques or bankers drafts, but not cash. Normal delivery of funds to your account takes two days from receipt of cleared funds, and we can also achieve same day delivery if required.
We do not charge UK Bank Commissions to the client for any transaction in excess of £10,000.
Currency Matters is regulated by the Financial Services Authority as an Authorised Payment Institution and registered with HM Revenue and Customs as a Money Service Business. All client funds are transferred through segregated Client Trust accounts held at Barclays Bank in London for your security.
